Music Production - LO.1 C

During this summer I was making efforts towards learning how to produce new genres of music so that I could be more experienced for teaching music production club as well as another possible production studio internship. One of the ways I am working on improving is by learning how to play the piano while properly applying the new music theory I am learning. The learning prosses may sound quite straightforward and easy, but for the production that I am doing, I am required to use multiple instruments which means I need to also learn the music theory behind those instruments too! Because of this my plate keeps of getting larger with no foreseeable end of learning insight. From this experience, I was also able to identify my personal favorite instruments and sounds to work with. For example, I went into the Jazz genre trying to learn about the most commonly used scales, but I ended up being drawn to learning about the drum styles used. Although I still want to learn how to play the piano instead of the drums, I definitely have a greater appreciation for drums. As I stated early I have a lot of room to grow and many more things to learn. I am excited to see where this journey takes me and can't wait to see what else I can learn.
